Started in 2007 by San Francisco Bay Area skimboarder, David Safradin, Square is the result of over 5 years of research and development combined to produce the best skimboard available. Square has been known for introducing some of the newest, and most controversial designs since they started, like the squared nose and tail skimboard. They are also considered a leader, and one of the only manufacturers making Kevlar skimboards.
