Paulo Prietto’s Solag Skim School is located in Laguna Beach, California. Skim lessons can be taught in any of the various skim spots in the Laguna Beach area. Skim sessions are taught by Paulo himself or by professional skimboarder Steve Taylor.
To get your free session simply email us your order number, the best time and phone number to call you. We will then have Paulo contact you to schedule your skim lesson. About Solag Skim School
Mission: Solag Skim School was created in 2004 to offer skimboarding lessons to the general public in and around the Laguna Beach area of California. The goal of SSS is to teach ocean safe skimboarding skills to kids and adults in a fun, encouraging atmosphere under the supervision of skimboarding’s top professionals. Since 2004, SSS has become more attuned with how to effectively teach skimboarding to people of all ages.
Founder and chief instructor, Paulo Prietto, started skimboarding in 1989 and now competes in numerous contests in the U.S. and Mexico at the professional level. He was ranked as the top skimboarder in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and has always enjoyed teaching skimboarding. Paulo, considered an ambassador of the sport because of his contest achievements, media exposure, character, and progressive skim talent is a well-qualified instructor. He has refined his teaching over the years and is passionate about spreading his knowledge of skimboarding.
Paulo graduated from Chapman University in 2006 with a degree in Liberal Studies and Spanish Language emphasis. He is currently pursuing a teaching career while working part time in a family real estate business. He is committed to the growth and development of skimboarding. He combines over 15 years of skimboarding experience with the teaching skills obtained in school to offer a unique blend of instruction.
