Kayotics Skimboards was founded on the shores of Boundary Bay in the summer of 2000. Boundary Bay is a small beach community 30 minutes south of Vancouver BC. It offers some of the finest flatland skimboarding conditions worldwide. These conditions enabled cutting edge riders to get creative with style and flavour. Ramps and rails were incorporated to daily sessions and the game changed. In the early days, skimboarding was secondary to young people chillin at the beach. Now that is no longer the case.. The beach became not only a sactuary of young talent, it was our place of business. Dudes who used to bring a cooler and a blanket were now bringing a board and their "game face". Every day new tricks were being landed. The sport was infectious and cats were constantly pushing the envelope, going bigger and badder with every toss. Vancouver is a city that seems to breed disciples of board culture. With the immense popularity of skateboarding and snowboarding an all time high, Kayotics' founders saw a tremendous opportunity in taking skimboarding to the extreme.
